The Essential Phone.

After a lot of rumors about the Essential Phone that is created by Andy Rubin, the father of android, the phone was launched a few days back. The most eye catchy part of this phone is the screen itself.
The Essential phone tries  to keep up with the bezel-less smartphones of 2017, which has an edge to edge LCD display keeping a tiny chin at the bottom and just a small space for the selfie camera on top.

The weird thing about this phone is that there is no branding on the phone. The phone feels solid in hand and following the trend the phone has a ceramic back which is glossy enough to attract a lot of finger prints. The side is covered by metal that have cut outs for the antenna bands.

The fingerprint scanner is at the back of the phone which looks cool and adds character to the phone.
The dual camera looks tiny when compared by other smartphones and does not have a camera bump.

There are also two holes at the back for modules that can be added to the phone. At  present there is a 360 degree camera module that can be attached to the phone. Andy also said that there would be modules for charging the phone even.

Screen

The screen, though, is everything a phone screen should be. The 5.71-inch, 2560×1312 LCD display renders everything crisply and clearly, and with barely any bezel beyond the bit at the bottom, the phone feels much smaller than, an iPhone 7 Plus. Full-screen movies and games look fantastic, even if the odd aspect ratio means your 16:9 video won’t quite fill the screen. The phone still lacks an amoled screen though!

Camera

Essential’s camera specs meet your expectations for a high-end phone, but the photos don’t. The two 13-megapixel cameras on the back—one in color and one in monochrome, used mostly to bring additional clarity and depth data in your photos—occasionally take beautiful, rich photos. They also, for no apparent reason, occasionally capture well-lit, noisy, poorly focused shots. The 8-megapixel selfie camera takes good pictures though.

Space & Processor:

The Essential phone comes with 4 GB RAM which is pretty good and a 128 GB storage. The phone houses the latest 835 snapdragon processor that is awesome as the company has used the high end chip on its first smartphone.

Hardware & Software:

Copying the trend that was started by Apple, the Essential Phone does not have a earphone jack! Because they wanted to show COURAGE!! The most beautiful part of the phone is that it runs on pure android and it seriously looks clean.

Data transfer is done through USB type-c at the bottom of the phone. The Essential phone has a   3040 Mah battery that should work fine for a day.

So, basically the Essential Phone looks different and is a bit different than the phones out in the market.
